Malaria in Australia

Oropouche virus disease in Brazil
As of 27 May 2025, a total of 10,572 confirmed cases of Oropouche virus disease, with five deaths (two confirmed, three under investigation), have been reported in Brazil for 2025. Cholera in Sudan
As of 1 June 2025, a total of 14,309 suspected cases of cholera (328 deaths) have been reported from 12 states. This brings the total number of cases to 65,285 cases (1,712 deaths) since the outbreak began in July 2024, against the background of a complex humanitarian crisis. Chikungunya in Mayotte
As of 25 May 2025, a total of 560 cases of chikungunya have been reported on the island since the start of 2025. On 27 May 2025, Mayotte increased its arbovirus alert and response level to level 3 (out of 5) to reflect intense and widespread transmission on the island. Leptospirosis in Bosnia and Herzegovina
