HTD & NaTHNaC Travel Medicine Course for UK Infection TraineesCourse IntroductionThe course is endorsed by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) and fulfils all curriculum requirements for combined infection trainees in all four UK nations and can be taken at any time point during training. The course is only available to UK Specialist Registrars in Infection. The next course takes place in September 2025 (start date TBC). Keep checking the website for further updates. It uses a combination teaching method including small group tutorials, interactive case-based discussions, online interactive lectures, online learning modules and audio-recordings of travel medicine consultations. The distance learning model allows for equitable access to experts working in the field of travel medicine across the UK. This will suit those wishing to develop expertise in travel medicine by providing access to leaders in the field of complex travel medicine:

NaTHNaC 'Getting to Grips...' online events for health professionalsContinuing in 2025, our team will be hosting regular, free of charge, webinar sessions on Zoom. Modelled on the popular "Getting to Grips..." teach-in events for Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres, we are now opening this up to all health professionals interested in travel health. Whether it be discussing our recent website updates such as our news items, factsheets or country information page disease and vaccination changes, or clinical scenarios from our advice line, we hope to bring our work to life and enable you to make better use of our resources, in your practice. During each session, there will be a 20-minute presentation followed by time to discuss some of your questions in the Q&A. These events will be live but also recorded and made available on TravelHealthPro. Please note- we will not be able to advise about specific travellers during this session. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow
Professional Development Certificate in Travel MedicineOnline course with four core modules. Students will have access to a tutor group, who will provide guidance throughout the programme. The standard timeframe for this course is 6 months. However, individuals have the flexibility of working at their own pace. |
Postgraduate Diploma in Travel MedicineDesigned in line with the Faculty of Travel Medicine's publications 'Good Practice Guidance for Providing a Travel Health Service' and 'Recommendations for the Practice of Travel Medicine'. Eight postgraduate modules delivered over a period of 18 months. |
International Postgraduate Diploma in Expedition and Wilderness MedicineThe RCPSG International Postgraduate Diploma in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine is structured in conjunction with the Oxford Handbook of Expedition and Wilderness Medicine. The Diploma will offer students the chance to gain a recognised qualification, whilst also having the opportunity to travel to challenging locations both in the UK and Morocco. |
